Paul Ofwono serves as a Baseball Coach at Imani Ministries, helping young athletes grow both in skill and in confidence. His own journey began as a beneficiary of Imani's education and baseball ministries, which supported him through school he has now completed all his semesters and is on the path to graduation. Passionate about mentorship and youth development, Paul works closely with players to strengthen their technique, discipline, and understanding of the game, giving back to the same program that shaped his own story.
Coaching the field that raised him
Paul knows firsthand what Imani's programs can do. As a beneficiary of both the education sponsorship and baseball ministries, he was supported through his studies and has now concluded all his semesters, awaiting graduation a milestone that once seemed out of reach.
Today, he stands on the other side of the red dirt field as a coach, working through patience, encouragement, and teamwork to create an environment where young people can learn, improve, and believe in themselves.
As part of the Imani coaching team, Paul is committed to using baseball as a tool to inspire hope, build character, and create positive opportunities for the next generation just as it did for him.
What Paul does day to day
Coaches Baseball
Trains boys and girls on the red dirt field, focusing on batting technique, fundamentals, and love for the game.
Builds Discipline & Character
Uses practice, drills, and teamwork to teach hard work, discipline, and perseverance that carry into everyday life.
Mentors Young Athletes
Walks alongside Imani kids as a role model who once stood where they stand, encouraging them on and off the field.
Champions Education
As an Imani education beneficiary himself, he reminds every player that school and sport go hand in hand.
